Say It Out Loud With Heavy Metal PostersWarning: include(_adsense.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.moriel/directstyle/photomusico.com/heavy-metal-posters.php on line 13 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '_adsense.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/.moriel/directstyle/photomusico.com/heavy-metal-posters.php on line 13 In the 1970's there came a movement that featured such classic bands as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath. Somewhere along the way someone coined the phrase "heavy metal" to describe the sounds these bands were making and a new music genre was born. Heavy metal has always been the haven for over energized males and disassociated youths that felt like they needed a soundtrack to describe their lives. When Black Sabbath and other heavy music bands came out these throngs of people had found their soundtrack and from there heavy metal grew into an ominous monster that developed tentacles of different types of metal that grew on their own. For many years in the 1980's metal was morphed into hair metal that wound up ruling the world. Young men with more hairspray and make up than their moms and a wardrobe to match were filling arenas and stadiums all over the world with their watered down party brand of heavy metal. But it was the original pioneers that stuck to what was considered real heavy metal and the posters of the day were selling like crazy. Today heavy metal posters are as elaborate as they have ever been and even though they don't sell like they used to they can still strike fear into the hearts of parents everywhere. You cannot talk about heavy metal without talking about Judas Priest and when you order a Judas Priest poster you are getting a piece of what many people call real metal. Lead singer Rob Halford has often been called the voice of heavy metal and you can put your Judas Priest poster right next to your Black Sabbath posters or your Deep Purple poster and have a very complete metal collection. Many Sabbath fans also like to buy an Ozzy Osbourne poster as well and put their Ozzy posters in with the rest of their metal icons where Ozzy surely belongs. You can also buy Iron Maiden posters and put these kings of heavy metal in with the others as Maiden has earned their spot in metal as much as anyone else. No one toured more than Maiden did in their heyday and no one worked, or still works, as hard as Iron Maiden to get out to the fans and put on a real heavy metal show. For the real hard edge you can purchase Slayer posters and put them on your wall as Slayer was one of the first bands to become very successful playing as fast and as intense as they possibly could. Truly Slayer are also heavy metal icons. Heavy metal also created some very colorful characters both in the United States and in Europe. A Manowar poster features a band that looked at metal as the marching of an army and all of the promotional material displays their very gothic military beliefs about metal. A Helloween poster is a nod to the European metal gods that have been around for almost 20 years now and still going very strong. You could also add Nightwish posters to your poster collection and let the world know that you have a well rounded appreciation of the genre of music that scares the rest of the world to death. Let them know that you are a heavy metal fan. |
