Bon Jovi was the band that ruled the 1980's. With their big hair, colorful clothing, and party music they helped to usher in the era of hair metal that ruled the world until Nirvana released their ground breaking album Nevermind in 1992. But in 1986 Bon Jovi released Slippery When Wet and that is when hair metal really took off and took over the world. Several years earlier Bon Jovi had caught the attention of the music world with their rock anthem Runaway and they capitalized on that success with Slippery When Wet.

It took a little while for Slippery When Wet to take off, and it almost didn't hit the charts, but when radio disc jockeys started playing songs from the record, and the videos came out showing the band members with their flashy stage show and good looks, it didn't take long for the album and the band to rocket to the top. These five guys from New Jersey lead the way for all of the other hair metal to follow and what could be classified as the most up tempo time in the history of rock as heavy music had never been so happy in the years before Bon Jovi.

Because of their fame Bon Jovi pictures and Bon Jovi posters are available all over the internet and in any music story. Bon Jovi photos have often turned into Bon Jovi posters and sometimes the pictures did not even need to be good ones. People were so hungry to purchase a Bon Jovi poster that any pocture would do. Today you can still get great Bon Jovi posters and you can get individual posters of the two main front men in the band as well.

The band is led by Jon Bon Jovi and a Jon Bon Jovi poster in the mid 1980's was a hot commodity just like Jon Bon Jovi posters today are still extremely popular. When people buy a Bon Jovi poster they want to see what the band is all about and many of the Jon Bon Jovi posters deliver just that. But Jon Bon Jovi is a multi talented person who also has an acting career that has spawned some wonder movie posters. Your collection may benefit from searching out some Jon Bon Jovi movie posters.

Right next to Jon Bon Jovi fronting Bon Jovi is guitarist and vocalist Richie Sambora. Richi Sambora posters were also fast movers in the mid 1980's and many people that had a Jon Bon Jovi poster just had to order a Sambora poster as well.

Bon Jovi is still out there performing and releasing records and in recent years they were still able to sell out stadiums in the United States. Their appeal is long reaching and long lasting and putting a small tribute to them on your walls would be just like living the glory days of the 1980's when hair metal ruled the world and Bon Jovi was easily one of the biggest bands the world had ever seen.
